Your bank account goes dormant if you don’t use it for a while.
To be precise when your account doesn’t have any kind of activity for two years, you will receive a message from the bank that there is no activity in your account for two years and that it is going to go dormant.
And 1 year later, if you still don’t use that account, and if there are no transactions, the account will be considered a dormant account – that is, the bank turns the status of the account to “inactive”.
This is for the safety of the account.
